A beautiful forest destination on the top of Jhandi dhar hills of Uttarakhand. This small hill town, situated at an altitude of 2480 mt above the sea level is famous for stunning views of mighty Himalayas and beautiful sunrise and sunset views.




Kathgodam is the nearest railway station of Binsar. The distance of binsar from kathgodam is 119Km, Local taxies and buses are available from kathgodam to Binsar. Taxi fare for the trip is around Rs 2500. Nearest airport of Binsar is Pantnagar airport which is well connected to Delhi with regular flights. You can avail local taxies from Pantnagar airport to reach Binsar. The cab fare is between Rs 2500 and Rs 3000. you may also reach Binsar directly from Nainital.The distance is 95Km and it is a 3.5 hours drive.

Zero Point




Zero Point is Binsar is considered as the best view point of  Kumaon. Located in Binsar wildlife Sanctuary two kilometers uphill trek is required to reach zero point. The place is famous for stunning views of majestic Himalayan ranges and famous peaks like Kedarnath, Shivling, Nanda Devi, and Trishul. 


KASAR DEVI TEMPLE 









kasar Devi Temple is one of the famous places to visit in Binsar. The temple is dedicated to kasar Devi. The place gained popularity when Swami Vivekananda medicated here in the 19th century. Surrounded by pine trees, the place is also popular for its scenic beauty.


BINSAR WILDLFE SANCTUARY 













A must visit spot in Binsar is the jungle safari in Binsar wildlife sanctuary. Surrounded by oak, pine and rhododendrons trees, the sanctuary is small in size, but houses a large number of flora and fauna.

You can easily see leopard, Himalayan bear, jungle cat, fox and more than 200 species of birds here.


BINESHWAR MAHADEV TEMPLE


This is a 13th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built by King Kalyan of Chand Dynasty. This temple is set amidst dense forests of birch, deodar and rhododendron.
