Sundarbans National Park is known as the largest mangrove forest in the world. Sundarbans National Park is located in the state of West Bengal, India. Sundarban National Park Fauna
(Sundarban Forest Animals) Many species of animals are found in Sundarbans National Park, some of which are King Krebs, Batagur Baska, Olive Ridley, and Turtle. One can also see giant lizards, wild boar, spotted deer, and crocodiles in these forests. The Sundarbans Animals are the most prominent attraction of Siberian ducks. Small organisms found in water in the Sundarbans are called phytoplankton that glows in the dark. The Sundarbans are particularly known for tigers in the world. The tigers found here have adapted themselves to drinking saline water. Rhesus macaques, fishing cats, chital, wild boar, small Indian civet, leopard cats, common otter, and black finish less porpoise are found. Two types of dolphins are Gangetic dolphins and Irrawaddy dolphins in dolphin river water.
Apart from this, the reptiles found here are Estuarine crocodile (Crocodilus Porosus), Russell Viper, King Cobra, Indian Python, Common Crate, Cobra, Rat Snake, Checkered Keelback, and Green Whip Snake. In West Bengal, 57 out of 93 species of snake population are found in this forest. The Sundarbans claim over 210 species of birds. The birds found here are mainly short toad eagles, sandpipers, whimbrels, spoonbills, oriental honey buzzards, herons, stilts, thick canes, osprey, and crested serpent eagles, greenshanks, Karlev, osprey, Shikara, Brahminy kites, etc. The Indian Dog Shark, Hammer Headed Shark, Bull Shark, Black Tip Shark, Pail Aided Sting Rage, Pail Aided Sting Rage, and Black Aided Sting Rage are the major found in the water in Sundarbans National Park.
Sundarban National Park Flora
The vegetation found in Sundarbans National Park consists of mangrove vegetation as well as moist tropical forests. Many species of mangroves can be seen here. Sundari tree is named Sundarbans due to the belief that its population is very high in the forest. Apart from this, other species of mangroves found here are Guava (Exocaria Aglocha), Kankra (Bruguera Gymnorrhiza), and Goran (Seriops Decandra), Keora (Sonneria Apetala), Dhundul (Xylocarpus Granatum), etc. Palm tree species, Speargrass, and Khagra grass are also found more in the forest.
Sundarban National Park Entry Fee
Local tourists can visit Sundarbans National Park for a minimal fee. Whereas foreign tourists have to take a special permit by the Kolkata Forest Office which is required to be presented to the Forest Officer at the time of entry and this permit is valid for 5 days.

Sundarban National Park Timing
Boat safaris are carried out seven days a week from 8:30 am to 4 pm. The boat is not driven after 6:30 in the evening.
